BY ORDER OF THE MANAGEMENT

FAIRGROUND RULES

  1. One. Swing the mallet. The puck climbs. The bell is at the top, and so is the sign.
  2. Two. Strength is counted in swings. Sums are counted by someone else.
  3. Three. Ring the bell and the limit is raised. A new sign goes up the same afternoon.
  4. Four. The tower is exactly as tall as it was yesterday, plus one notch.
  5. Five. Bells are not refundable. Neither is the notch.

Gentlemen are requested to remove their hats before swinging

QUESTIONS AT THE TICKET BOOTH

What is the debt ceiling?

A legal cap on how much the country may owe. When the number touches it, somebody votes to raise the cap.

Who is holding the mallet?

A man in a navy suit with a very red tie, and a great deal of follow-through.

What do I win?

A higher ceiling. It goes in your tally and stays there until you clear your browser.

Can the meter fill up?

It can. The bell rings, ink goes everywhere, the sign is repainted one notch higher and the meter starts over.

Where do I get a ticket?

At the Pons launchpad window below. The ticket number up top is the one to show at the gate.
